# How Jobbee works

Jobbee is an automated job-search assistant. One-time setup, then it works on
the cadence you choose — discovering matching openings, producing a
custom-tailored resume for each one, checking it visually, and emailing it
to you with the original job link. No technical setup. No config files.
Just results.

## Step 1 — Upload your resume

- **Drop in your current resume** — PDF, Markdown, or DOCX, or paste text
- **Your profile is understood instantly** — skills, experience, and
  preferences are extracted automatically and stay fully editable
- **Your original is preserved untouched** — every tailored resume is
  generated from a copy

## Step 2 — Fifteen minutes that change the output

Before your first search, spend fifteen minutes in the workspace files —
round out your profile, extend your base resume, add a project file.
A resume only shows the top 10% of what you've done; these files carry
the other 90%, and they're what tailoring draws on. An upload alone
gets you results; fed files get you the right results.

## Step 3 — Set your schedule

Daily or weekly — set it once and forget it. You can also search manually at
any time, for any job. Changed your mind? A search can be cancelled anytime from the
dashboard — cancel within 15 minutes and the quota slot is refunded

## Step 4 — From upload to inbox

Each search targets exactly **one job** — so every resume is written for THAT
specific role, not copy-pasted:

1. **We find matching roles** — searched across multiple sources, scored
   against your profile, and a posting you've already been through doesn't
   come back around
2. **A custom resume is created** — genuinely adapted to the role.

3. **We ask, not guess** — if a decision only you can make comes up, the search
   pauses and emails you a link; it resumes automatically once you answer

   truncated text, and unprofessional surprises before it reaches you
5. **You get the email** — the polished PDF and job link land in your inbox.

## Watch it happen

Every search streams its progress to the dashboard in real time — status
changes, step-by-step progress, delivery. The feed shows what matters to you.
Every search is also kept in your workspace's history — revisit past
applications and their scores whenever you need them. Each tailored
resume stays in your delivery email.

## What Jobbee never does

- **Never applies for you.** You review and submit each application
  yourself — you stay in control of every click
- **Never invents experience.** Tailoring re-emphasizes your real history —
  nothing more
- **Never sells or leaks your data.** Processed privately; the only path to
