Why searches pause

Tailoring quality depends on knowing your real history. When we hit an ambiguity that can't be resolved from your profile — conflicting experience entries, unclear preferences, a judgment call about how to present something — a wrong guess on a resume is far more costly than a short pause. So the search pauses and asks.

How it works

1. A search that hits such a question pauses — it does not silently guess
2. You receive an email with a secure link to that search's clarification page
3. You answer the question, or defer it
4. Once all blocking clarifications are answered, the search resumes automatically — nothing to re-trigger
5. Follow-up questions can appear while an answer is being applied — the next question sometimes surfaces as your answer is processed

In practice
